No….definitely not the case. These are first quality, CNC milled craftsmanship. Think what you want…. but I absolutely love them.

In for 4 of the iMorses. I Just gave away all of my oLights from last year's fan day deals on a family camping trip last month (well, I do still have the UV one but there's not much use for that one). They make great little gifts and you simply can't get a better light for $5. The rechargeables are slightly better, but I have a couple of the AAA and they arent bad either. Naysayers are either unaware or willfully blind to the value of these little things.

Got two of the lights last time they had a deal like this. Keep it on my keyring and use it all the time just for a minute or so to get in the front door, around the house, etc. Have had them for at least 2 years and haven't had to recharge them yet. Great lights for the cost of shipping

another person chiming in and saying these lights are well worth the $5 shipping cost. The rechargeable ones have 2 modes and it's very bright. Works great

Fyi, your phone's flashlight range from 30 to 80 lumens. The imorse at 180 is pretty good. It's also very compact.

I love the older units and am looking forward to this one.

At around $10, they are a good deal to buy as gifts too.

I'm considering getting the copper one for myself and a few other things to make better use of that $5 shipping discount (if you buy $50+).

I got an orange one of these last time they did this deal. USB charging and it has two modes low and high. Great quality, I love it. I am definitely getting another. I hate using my phone for flashlight.

They are not "free". You still have to pay the $5 shipping. And I already had 4 accounts with them from prior years offers, so that's how I can get the iMorse ones...which are definately the better deal.

Great little light. Had it on a zipper of a coat I use for camping so it is nearby when needed.

Any other things to sweeten the deal. I swear I usually order and then someone posts a code to get another flashlight added on etc.

And yeah, these are better than even the old micro USB ones.

To the uninitiated nay-sayers, you really will be winners if you "gamble" $5 for either light. Give it away if you are that disappointed, so someone else can appreciate your thoughtfulness.

I now have a few of the ir2 pros after trying one from similar offers. 2 brightness levels. Super bright when needed and the low setting is good for some tasks as well such as finding your seat in the theater, or other dim light tasks.

Also, regarding the ir2 pro: Lasts a very long time between charging. I have not used mine enough to need to recharge after a year of light use. So it retains the charge and since not AAA, no battery leakage.

I own about 20 Olights and they've been one of the better China brands. Used to buy Fenix and Nitecore a lot but Olight gets my money now. Nitecore seemed to be rushing lights to market and suffer from parasitic drain on several lights and bad UI. Fenix wasn't innovating
