wait they really dropped HomeKit? Amazon has a monopoly with home security acquisitions and they really decided to compete on Alexa alone?

Yeah a lot of their newer stuff is only Alexa / google home. I am on Apple TV and all iOS stuff at my house (not a zealot, just prefer to stay in one ecosystem and apple's stuff is easy to use) and it sucks because I really want a nice floodlight camera. Waiting for the next round of home automation stuff and hoping that results in better compatibility
