I have this fan, it's a decent fan.
Vornado fan's are supposed to be good, but they are so effin' loud. The best fans are Rowenta - super quiet AND move air.
If you have a particularly spot for a fan like this, and want one that is quiet (like in a bedroom for sleeping) then this works fine. I particularly like that the lights on the QuietSet turn off after a minute so there is no annoying glow-light when you are trying to sleep.
I have this fan, I chose it over the Lasko tower fan because Lasko had an annoying motor hum even at the lowest speeds. This fan is very quiet and perfect for the bedroom, we leave it running overnight often. It moves plenty of air at the high setting. Yes, Vornado fans move more air, but they are also ridiculously noisy. I guess it depends on what people are looking for. I would recommend this fan.
Dont waste money on it. It doesn't move much air unless a foot from you then you can tell it is on barely. And if just looking for a fan for noise. This thing is quite. We returned our 2

Also as a side note, there are no loud beeps when turning this on or off. It's completely silent.
