It says open box but what I received looked like a brand new product. No dead pixels, works perfectly, I'm very happy with my purchase. It is a VA panel so if you're all about first person shooters and can't tolerate the slightest bit of ghosting this may not be for you... but it really is a minimal amount. I can barely notice it compared to my old TN panel monitor, but it is there... might bother me if I was a pro player but for most people it won't matter.
Otherwise it's a great monitor, color accuracy for TV and movies is way better than a TN panel display too.
