I'm using this monitor right now, bought it from the exact same eBay listing in July. It's $1 cheaper now, what a deal!

It says open box but what I received looked like a brand new product. No dead pixels, works perfectly, I'm very happy with my purchase. It is a VA panel so if you're all about first person shooters and can't tolerate the slightest bit of ghosting this may not be for you... but it really is a minimal amount. I can barely notice it compared to my old TN panel monitor, but it is there... might bother me if I was a pro player but for most people it won't matter.

Otherwise it's a great monitor, color accuracy for TV and movies is way better than a TN panel display too.

honestly if you're not averse to a refurb, this is a pretty decent price for this monitor. i had thought about upgrading from the older 144hz model of this one but couldn't justify it with OLED making it's way around the corner. but if you need one, LG panels are top tier.

if your job involves you playing games while "working" or on "breaks", then yes.

And otherwise, yes, too.

Personally, I'd hold out for a IPS display though

I bought this one from same listing. Arrived last week. No dead pixels, color and picture are great. I upgraded from a 1080p 27" Element display. I do some light gaming on my PC but got it for using Blender.

I have this, bought it new, and use it 8+ hours a day for work for the last year, and game with it on the weekends, been great and no issues! Note that only the display port can hit the 165hz, hdmi can only do 120hz at 1080p
