Ordered mine from QVC on 1/23/11 in red and it's done nothing but absolutely murder whatever I've put into it. Other blenders are just a waste of money.
I bought a reconditioned one about 4 years ago on this same kind of sale from them. I'm on my 3rd return. LOL the motor breaks all the time. I basically blend frozen bananas with coconut milk and some collagen powder. I even have a surge protector on it.
I will say when the warranty runs out next year and it breaks I will switch and try a BlendTec.
I had a Nutribullet for a couple of years. It worked, but the blade was definably dulling by then. About 2 years ago I got a Vitamix 5200. HUGE difference. I use it almost every day with a bunch of frozen stuff. It blends soo much better. I can throw anything I want at it and it takes it like a champ. It's still going strong like new 2 years later. These live up to the hype.
I must be in the minority. I ordered a Vitamix blender last year and our family hated it.
Did a poor job making smoothies and had to run it multiple times to do the job.
Ended up going back to our Ninja blender which does the job.
Now I have this $300 blender just sitting in the pantry since Vitamix won't issue a refund.
Dyson makes great stick vacuums. Miele came out with one but reviews say it's not as good in the real world. Different products with different goals.
Side note vitamix really is as good as they say...only thing is I preferred the classic (not low profile) container since it doesn't require as much use of the tamper. I really think they should change back. I can't think of anyone that would prefer the low profile container in actual use. The only advantage is being able to fit under some cabinets (which may be possible regardless depending on your cabinet height or where you store it.)

Didn't know they made a stick...we have an upright.
We have Vitamix Pro 750...MUCH better than Ascent system IMO. No pesky NFC.

Upright Miele is probably better. Personally I use a robot vacuum for most things and then every once in a while use the stick vacuum for essentially dusting/detail stuff the robot vacuum misses every once in a while. The robots have gotten way better than 10 years ago, they know where stuff is in your house/navigate around them and even empty themselves at a dock they also charge at. Definitely feels futuristic. Worth checking out if your Miele ever breaks (which it might not!)

It looks like a defective unit. Just buy another one and you'll be set. Vitamix > Ninja

Vitamix sent us a new unit after I sent numerous emails but we're just going to stick with the Ninja. Maybe I'll sell this one and recoup some of the money spent.
I ordered like 2 months ago when it was for $300. I think i saved that much when making iced frappe on my own. Can't believe i was paying like $6 for that simple of a drink. This is well worth it.

Either buy a cheap pos, or pony up and buy a vitamix/dyson.

Miele's super good? They look like the old one from Sears I had growing up. Lol
