book directly with TAP and it's $301 and you can get a free stopover for 1-5 nights in either Porto or Lisbon, I checked March 5th to 16th

Flew with my kids this past summer using TAP. I've flown international many times and found TAP to be very nice for the price point. On time, good food, newer clean aircraft, friendly staff. Would not hesitate to fly again.

good if you can live without checking a bag both ways. If not it cost what $50+ each way? Or has that gone up in price as well

Thanks for this, I've always been curious of how they are as I'm planning a trip with a free layover in Portugal. I'm a big fan of Norwegian airlines but they don't do long haul anymore

They nickel and dime you a lot so these fares are not representative of the actual cost. Good airline though.

We flew Boston to Porto Portugal, with a short layover in Lisbon. All flights, both ways, were on time and completely uneventful. Plane was modern and comfortable.

We spent a few days in Porto before moving on around Europe. We enjoyed the area and would recommend 3 days to see the highlights.

Thanks OP. We are planning a big family get together this coming Spring in Portugal to visit where our mother grew up. Other family has visited and loves the country. Looking at real estate when there to see if it's on my retirement choice at some point.

This price is good...but TAP is TERRIBLE in our experience. Their ability to lose baggage is uncanny and service subpar. Several friends and family members that visited Lisbon, flying on TAP lost luggage. Got me down a rabbit hole of reviews...unsure why it's as bad as it is, but the flights are frequently delays as well.

You can get it even cheaper with google flights and choose to get tickets directly with the carrier.

Keep duration below 10 hours, add carry-on, and mess around with dates to find sub-300 priced tickets...hovering around $270 when I last checked.

Seems to be the same offer as Expedia as the only carrier supporting that price is Tap Air Portugal but slightly cheaper

Unfortunately my family had a different and horrible experience with TAP. The first flight was delayed and missed the connection from Lisbon to Barcelona. Furthermore they overbooked that flight so some people who were there on time weren't even able to get on. Made us wait in the airport for 9 hours in the middle of the night without offering hotel for a next day flight. They only offered us some food vouchers. This was just before the pandemic started.
