eufy Security Video Doorbell Dual Camera (Wired) with Chime $149.99

No subscription fees and videos stored locally unlike other video doorbells

CCC shows this to be the lowest historical price

Dual Cam Technology. The view offered by ordinary cameras is just too limited to provide complete protection. With a low-angle camera, blindspots are eliminated and your doorstep is in full view.
Delivery Guard. Get instantly notified when your package arrives with Delivery Guard. Plus, you'll receive pick-up reminders and alerts if someone approaches your package.
3-Second Preview Videos. See what triggered a recording, so you know how visitors approached your door and what they were doing.
2K with HDR. 2K HD surveillance ensures visitors can be identified from the details. And thanks to high dynamic range, visitors who are backlit by the sun can be seen in perfect color and clarity.
No Monthly Fee. Access your recordings anytime on local storage without charge. No subscription fee required.

I am fairly certain that Best Buy is the only retailer that has the 100% recording version.

They'd also know eufy doorbells are the toughest to remove when mounted properly.

Amazon will give your data to law enforcement without your permission. Own your data, get rid of your Rings
I have tried ring, blink and eufy. If you don't mind paying the subscription, ring offers the best experience. The human detection is almost perfect. Eufy on the other hand will have alot of false human detection so you end up having to toggle it down. The only reason I stopped using ring is because they increase the prices this year

Which would be better for an older parent, something like this or the Ring doorbell camera? I need something that's simple enough that my late-70s father in law can figure it out.

I'd download the app or watch some YouTube videos and see what's simplest. For my grandma for example she has a wyze cam as it's simple enough for her to see her front door.

Ring doorbells need a monthly subscription to function properly (notifications, etc) whereas Eufy does not require it.
