My settings for my motion boom plus pair are:
+5 +3 -7 -6 -5 -4 0 +1 +2
70 150 300 600 1.2k 2.5k 5k 9k 14khz
And for my motion boom pair:
+5 +3 0 -6 -5 -1 +2 +4 +6
This speaker can NOT be touched by anything in this price or size/weight range. It's extremely loud and has good bass at low-mid volumes. Will crush a JBL Extreme in overall sound if that is important to you.
Yes, the Tribit Stormbox Blast is louder/better, but also weights well over twice as much and is so large it's not even portable for smaller people.

No you didn'tā¦ that's just the motion boom not the plus.
I just bought two of these to compare to my motion booms. Figure Amazon returns are easy if they aren't worth it. But these are a lot more watts than the motion booms
Edit: It was a Motion Boom not Plus. Not sure if it really matters. The Motion Boom was paraded on this site as being a great speaker but it sounded like a really cheap low quality one.

No, it's just louder with more bass. If you have the Motion Boom there no need to upgrade.
I played with it. I really wanted to make it work because it was cheaper but in the end I already have a couple of Sonos speakers and this thing is not even close to quality of sound so it went back.

All of them, I owned the first gen Xtreme, my friends had the 2nd & 3rd. Nothing can touch the MB+ not even Boombox series or HK Go + Play mini.

Rtings side by side. They say the Anker is slightly better, but the jbl digs a little deeper in bass and can do higher treble, too. Decisions, decisions.
