If you live near a HFT store, these wire strippers are a pretty good deal. At $3, they're actually spring loaded with a lock to keep the plier jaws in place when not in use. The machining on the stripping part of the jaws looks fairly nice as well (not Knipex quality machining, but for $3...).

Be sure to use link in store to get discounted coupon price.
In Store & Online Coupon Expires 10/02/22.
Limit 4. Coupon 25845743

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
  • The 7 in. wire stripper with cutter can strip 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, and 10 AWG wire as well as shear 8-32 and 10-32 gauge screws. The serrated jaw is ideal for bending, pulling or twisting wire. The wire stripper is spring loaded with a built-in locking mechanism for safety.
  • Strips 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, and 10 AWG wire
  • Shears popular 8-32 and 10-32 gauge copper screws
  • Serrated nose for crimping, pulling or twisting wire
  • Comfortable PVC grip
  • Spring return with safety lock
  • Lifetime Warranty

These are a step up from pressed steel stripper/crimper tools, no brainer at 3$. I use these on a weekly basis, they are still stripping well for me after about a year. Handles are comfortable, spring does its job, lock works well.

Why the downvotes? Genuinely don't understand why people would downvote me for sharing my experience.

I know, right? I think a lot of people just have it in for HF because they think 100% of their stuff is poor quality, which is nonsense IMO.
