I think you may be a little confused about this. EA is just the publisher, and this sale price is for the digital Xbox versions of the games. So long as the console in question is set to the buyer's "home" device, any player profiles on that system will have full access to the games with their own separate save data. And so long as the game isn't multiplayer-only, single-player content will work on that home console with or without internet access.
Worth it for Unravel. Unfortunately, NFS has really cringe unskippable FMV cutscenes with low grade actors and boring story that make this game a bit of a slog to play. NFS Payback (currently $2.99) is a much better game with skippable FMV.
Unravel is so much fun to play in couch co-op with a child. Literally the only game I have completed with my 10 year old.

How can EA call anything a family deal? Each family member needs to purchase separate copies to be able to have their own story progess. EA is far from family.

PvZ Garden Warfare 2 is a little old now, but it's an absolute blast. I played through the single-player as a man in my mid-20s at the time and thought it was fantastic. I have to imagine that if I were 15 years younger at the top, it would have been my favorite game.
All 4 Plants vs. Zombies games, Need For Speed 2015 and 3 other NFS games, and Unravel 1+2 are all included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which includes EA Play.
