Looks like $100+ right now if purchased separately. Seems like a great deal for Knipex.

if you have to have German-made, but I find Irwin, Channelock, and other good brands to be a better value . At 5" and 7" these are quite small so can see them being used in tight quarters but I prefer longer handles for the leverage

The 7" pliers wrench is a good general purpose tool, and the 5" is truly small, but still can put the hurt on things within its range. For more leverage, I own the 10" pliers wrench and a 16" pipe wrench, but in terms of value, the 7" and 5" see constant use because they are so light and compact for their range that they are always in my install bag. They have very surprising gripping strength and can also be used to press things and shape wire and brackets, which adjustable wrenches cannot really manage well. I'm always finding another use for them.

I also own actual channel-lock wrenches, but my favorite Channellock-brand adjustable wrench is manufactured by Irega in Spain:
https://www.amazon.com/Channelloc...B001I70C34

It's just a very different tool, and one I favor if doing lots of rough work on bolts without a socket set or dedicated wrenches. Coarse assembly work, opening cam-lock crates, this is my tool.

But the pliers wrench is more versatile and in terms of my use, as an installer, fabricator, and odd-repair person, has become indispensable.

Earlier this month, I did a fair amount of research on diagonal cut pliers, which I wanted to get for a friend. From my study, it seems to me that there are a lot of folks who think Channellock in many uses are as good or even better than Klein & Knipex, and that Irwin is a notch or so below Channellock. You pays your money & you takes your chances.

I have the 5", and it has a nice build, but is very small. I can only get about three fingers on the handle, so if you have big hands I wouldn't recommend it. The 7" is probably a much more practical size.

I just want to point out that many are comparing these pliers with a smooth face on the jaws to other pliers with serrated faces.

Sometimes that won't make a difference and sometimes it will.
I have Channel Lock, Kinpex, Irwin and Craftsman adjustable pliers in many different sizes.

Large Craftsman are great for Oil filters and exhaust pipes and were inexpensive.
Knipex get used when I don't want to mark up the fastener 7 for bending as was mentioned previously.

Channel Locks and Irwin are in the kitchen drawers and portable tool box and work fine for 80% of what I need and I don't have to yell at anyone if they lose them.

The stubby adjustable wrench linked to by blocky is similar to a Snap On one I bought years ago.
If you don't have a wrench like this you don't know what you are missing out on.

I think the Snap On one is currently $90 so the one linked above at $30 is a Slick Deal worthy of it's own post.

This is a really good price for these. If I didn't already have a set, I would be all over these.

Those particular ones are very different than knipex. See, those particular channellocks can only do a few things that the knipex can do. However, the knipex can do all of what those pliers can do, and more. Knipex! All the way
