For those with pelvic floor issues causing defecation issues, you would most likely benefit from working with a physical therapist to learn biofeedback exercises to strengthen the muscles and facilitate their coordination to help you poop better. This will help fix the underlying issue.
Aside from the above, eat your fiber, fruits and veggies, and drink sufficient amount of fluids to help ensure you keep your poop soft and smooth. And yes, keep your time on the commode swift and focused. Stop browsing Slickdeals on your phone while pooping like you are now (avoid distractions
