You can’t Bootcamp but you can run Parallels for specific Windows programs. The performance is really good, better than most windows laptops

Nope. I don't think so on the M1 side.

minor diffs for this:
- has a fan, so active cooling, throttle slower than the mba
- 1 extra gpu core
- touchbar instead of function keys
- better screen/speakers/mic

if u buy from apple, it's usually 300$ difference between, but 999 is a great price for this. personally would have preferred more ram.

That might be because this also uses the M1…
So is this basically same laptop as the one on sale at Costco for $900 with only diff being SSD 512GB to Costco's 256GB?

Can you upgrade the ram on these? And is bootcamp for running Windows still a thing?
Nope. I don't think so on the M1 side.

What do you mean?
You used to be able to do something called bootcamp where you could basically boot up into either MacOS or Windows or another OS. This was when they used Intel chips but I guess with the Apple chips you can't do that anymore.

Costco gives an additional year of warranty protection as well

Yeah. That's a deal breaker for me. I guess they're trying to get rid of them.
