Can you upgrade the ram on these? And is bootcamp for running Windows still a thing?
Nope. I don't think so on the M1 side.

What do you mean?
You used to be able to do something called bootcamp where you could basically boot up into either MacOS or Windows or another OS. This was when they used Intel chips but I guess with the Apple chips you can't do that anymore.

Yeah. That's a deal breaker for me. I guess they're trying to get rid of them.

You can't Bootcamp but you can run Parallels for specific Windows programs. The performance is really good, better than most windows laptops

Costco laptop warranty is a crapshoot. My laptop wouldn't power on, and they said I had physical damage because of a small dent on the corner of the laptop. Of course the power connection was in other side of laptop, but they couldn't be reasoned with. However for Tv warranty support with Costco, aces so far. Ymmv

Apple Silicon cant run bootcamp. That was a luxury of Intel commodity chips. You can still run Parallels or another emulator on top of MacOS.
