This actually comes with a 1 TB SSD sub 1k, that's unheard of. Must buy if you are in the market for 17 inch gaming laptop. Just remember folks, these kinds of laptops are desktop replacements, they are not for casually playing on your couch.

Notice that you can't find this model with a 3060 anywhere. I believe it has been discontinued. I bought one and it died within 4 months. Won't turn on. I suspect a design flaw and that's why you can't find it. Not even on Lenovo's website. Beware.

Extremely slick deal, this and the 3070 legion from gamespot are the best deals I've seen since the release of the legion 5.

At this price point though, to me, worth the risk. I'd probably buy this with a Chase card or something that extends the manufacturers warranty. By chance were you using it without a thermal pad? These days it seems the best gaming laptops need external cooling unless really tuned down. Thanks for sharing.

Bought this last Nov for $1100 from Lenovo website. It's been fine so far for some light gaming. Snappy, no overheating so far. At $862, don't even think about it, just buy it. If you're going to think about it, think of the 3070 one, lol

I've been looking for a replacement for a four-year-old 17" Dell 7773 in 1. I don't use the 2-in-1 feature. I don't do any gaming. Just browsing and finance stuff. This is probably overkill but it's in my price range. Any reason not to buy it?
Thanks

It was as great laptop while it worked. I was playing halo infinite last year and it turned off and wouldn't turn back on. Now after having it sit for some time when I plug in the power cord the power LED appears to give a flash/beep code. Otherwise it wont turn on or do anything else. I was playing halo at 1080p on low. The first thing I thought was it overheated but it wasn't hot at all.

I suspect it might be a charging circuit similar to how apple laptops die. I could deal with things breaking but when it wont turn on, I was sort of dead in the water.

I'd check the return policy, like can you return it at a brick and mortor store? If that's the case then definitely buy it. The knock against going this route is that gaming laptops usually run hot, so gain, not great for browsing on the couch. If you are only using the laptop at a desk though then I'd say still a must buy.

ughh. this is just beyond my upper limit to what i wanted to spend on a laptop. i need a 17" cause i do drafting, but i work remotely using anydesk, and my computer at work runs the autocad, etc... so i really think this laptop is overkill for my needs. i dont game, etc. but its hard to see so many people talk about how good of a deal this is and not pull the trigger.

edit: i just noticed all of the ports on the back. thats a form factor that i dont think will work for me anyways.

It sits on our kitchen counter. Looking at their return policy, it says anything over $500.00 can't be returned to a store. They charge a 5% restocking fee for non-defective items and a small shipping charge.
