Had these alongside the fence on the middle beam. The back yard one gets hit with sunlight pretty much the entire day. The brown plastic housing warped and ended up breaking the glass on the solar cell. Some popped off of the sticky mount because of the warping. They still light up but they look funny now. The side ones still look ok.

Probably yes. Also expect a couple of them to be DOA as well or not last as long.

Will these last one season like all the other ones too?

I've been through so many of these solar deck/patio/spot lights. They do not like Missouri winters. If they dont die, they're battery life shortens to the point that they're not even lit up any more by the time we go to bed.

Solar lights are just garbage. Get some nice outdoor landscape lights, power supply and a waterproof box. You'll have amazing lights that last for a decade and spend less than $100

I got these a few months ago, about 5 were DOA. They have a standard triple A rechargeable battery. I don't expect them to last more than a year. Also their color temps are inconsistent.

I just rebuilt my deck after Hurricane Sally dropped a tree across it. When my deck was brand new, 10 years ago, I spent a good bit of money on solar lights which I attached to posts and stairs. They didn't last for more than a month. Never again! Waste of money! Maybe they're better now, who knows, but I won't be installing them again.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank yeti79

Cheap Chinese garbage direct from the factory with astroturfed upvotes pushing it to the front page. No support, no warranty, and with Woot it's essentially final sale so you can't return it if the product fails outside of a week or two from delivery.

On top of that my last couple purchases from Woot have been AWFUL. They're clearly selling factory seconds with significant manufacturing defects as if it was new product.

Not worth your time or money.

So.... 32 screw holes in your deck for lights that might last a season and then need replaced leaving those holes everywhere.

Hard pass on these :/

Basically any wired low voltage kit will last for years and be significantly higher quality and brighter than these. I don't know of any sets that are currently on sale but there are deals for them on Slickdeals occasionally and there are tons of installation videos on Youtube to guide you through the process.

I regret not getting the quality deck lights on lowes clearance. Got two, each for $5 to test and next day I went, someone score them all.
Would never get something really low quality to put/ screw on deck.

Bought a few months ago from SD. Two were cool daylight temperature (6500K), while most were warm light (3000k).

Also, several dead already. So, don't set your expectations too high.
