Is a subtle CYA. They don't claim OP "found" the deal, like they do with most member posts. Instead with many Staff offers it's "sharing" or "posting"
doesn't inherently make it a bad value, but the lack of transparency on this site on what is found, promoted, shilled, level/type of compensation SD gets for our clicks and purchases...etc is sketch

Honestly i don't see that happening. I forsee them going completely portless and pushing the MagSafe brand.
Apple has made some fairly gutsy moves over the years that were at one point very unpopular decisions. I'm an android fan but I will give credit where credit is due.
Think the notch, then no headphone jack, now no sim tray. Next no charging port.
How will things like carplay work for cars without the wireless connection? Getting rid of the port doesn't make sense.
LOL @ $26 for five cables..while i do own some anker cables and they have yet to fail me, i would not buy at this price. idk how long a "lifetime" warranty would be, considering most ports don't make it past roughly a decade or so
anyway you could relatively easily get twice as many at this price[amazon.com], even at the risk of them lasting half as long. no braided nylon, booo. also the custom coupon code (not anywhere on the product page itself) is a little sus..is it a referral?

Got this from Costco a couple of years ago. Pretty sturdy despite how I abuse them. Just keep in mind that it's the thick cable type. The wire diameter is significantly larger than Apple's crappy OEM cables that self destruct within a few months of abuse.

I like wired because it's more portable while charging. It's also more efficient and results in less heat and battery degradation

They already went USB-C on their iPad Pros. And they will be forced to go USB-C due to EU regulations. MagSafe is kinda nice for attaching things but it's very slow to charge.

Apple doesn't care about that. They will sell an Apple branded product that will push Apple CarPlay wireless to vehicles that require a wires connection. There are already aftermarket products that do that.
"Need headphone jack? Buy Airpods."
They have the cult following to move the masses with whatever decisions they make.

They are forced to go USB-C only IF they choose to have a charging port. There are no regulations yet towards wireless charging. This is true about the iPad Pro, but that's because lightning cables would charge it rediculous slow.

They'd rather go portless for their EU line before they'd go USB-C. Just like they made the US line of iPhone 14s eSIM only. Portless forces people to wireless charge which follows the EU regulations.
Just like them removing the headphone jack they'd get backlash but people will still end up buying them anyways. Samsung would shit on Apple via ads and then follow them again a year afterward.

Honestly, why I sold the iPhone 14 pro and hate iPhone but love Apple.

You missed the fingerprint reader which I still miss after 4 years
the lifetime warranty is just for 1 exchange, whenever the cable breaks. The replacement cables doesn't come with a s/n..
I just replaced an Anker cable without a serial number. I bought a Anker Powerline+ II Lightning (10 ft) nylon braided cable last July. The rubber at the top of the cable on the lightning jack side started to crack from bending it. I contacted AnkerDirect on Amazon. They asked for screenshot of the order page with order #. A picture of the defect. Serial number OR a picture of the cable showing the Anker logo. They just confirmed that they're sending me out a new cable that should arrive in 3-7 business days.
