Blade steel, quality, hand feel, balance. These are also made in the US. If you do not care where your knives are made, how they feel, and how they hold an edge, keep buying cheap stuff.

The blades are legendary, supposed to hold an edge well. I haven't spent this much in a knife either, I just need to use my DMT knife sharpener more often.🤠

Someone might buy it because they like the knife. not because you have been carrying yours for 9 years for half the price. You also aren't considering inflation.
