You certainly could, but you are paying an extra premium here for the outdoor rating and this product is bulkier due to that. I would just wait for the normal/indoor tape light version.

The reason I was looking at this is because its 16 feet and indoor light strips are 6 feet. I need about 18 feet for my cabinets. So is my best bet to buy the 6 foot indoor and daisy chain the 3 ft extensions?

There are third party vendors who make adapters so that you can connect several indoor strips together. I used these adapters and have daisy chained three 9 ft strips together for my kitchen. (Again, These adaptors are only for indoor light strips.
