FYI Fire Toolbox is limited on newest Fire OS. I forgot to disable OTA on my daughter's HD8 and now Play Store is broken and won't install nor update apps.

I got this tablet last year, for this price too.

I think Amazon have close the hole so you can't crack it anymore to get rid of the ads, etc.

The screen is not that great. Give it to kids to play is perfect.

I already have one. Got 2 for free actually when Amazon messed up my order for prime day last year and gave a family member one. And yet I'm still tempted to buy this. I might have a problem 😂

The HD8 is barely good for anything but possibly a remote controller for music or some other device. It is painful to use as a tablet if you are used to using your phone because it's so slow.

When you can find the HD10 on sale, I agree -- it's a decent tablet. Definitely not comparable to an iPad or Samsung Tab, but it's <$100 (sometimes far less depending on deal).

I use one of my HD10's as a security camera monitor (Eufy app) on my home office desk so I can keep an eye on things...

Wireless Charging Support is not true. 2GB RAM version of 2020 Fire 8 HD tablet does not support the wireless charging. "3"GB RAM version of 2020 Fire 8 HD "PLUS" tablet does upport the wireless charging.
