I like AMD a lot BUT if you can hold your wallet prices can drop even further by the time November comes.
I bought my 6900xt at MSRP but I will be happy for everyone if they get a steal of a deal by holding.
You can do this people!
I'd say buy now. You might save $50-$100 but it's not guaranteed and missing out a month or two to hopefully save that isn't worth it. 6800xt going for $560s and 7900xt around $700. AMD is lowering their prices daily but not nGreedia since they need to clear tons of stock. 3060 is still going for $370. 😂
I'm rocking a 4690k with a 980ti since my GTAV build in ye summer of 2015 of thy lord.
I shall continue to HOLD, although Diablo 4 dropping in 2023 shall make me quiver in me pants.

Haha, similar situation here. If I wasn't committed to HOLD this would be very tempting though. $350 isn't bad for a card that can max anything at 1440p.
Still holding out a sliver of hope for the 7700XT to be released this year with minimal price hike though.
I don't see this come up too much but there is no hardware av1 encoding on any of these cards. If you ever stream it's a pretty big deal since rdna3 and the 4k series AND even the arc cards are all supposed to have it. prices aside, this is a tech you will miss out on if you cave. Not everyone will care but it's probably going to be the future of streaming codecs since h265 is a farking joke. So it's a long lasting feature that I personally don't want to miss by not waiting a few more weeks.
Was determined to soon finally upgrade my 970 to a 3070 but seeing how close this is in performance to that, while being (currently at least) way cheaper and with more VRAM than the 3070...is there any reason to still get the latter if we take DLSS out of the equation?
