LOL @ the reviews for the table saw:

Quote :
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3 years ago and I wasn't dissapointed It worked like a charm! and it is very helpful when cutting wooden flooring
The large percentage of reviews are tagged as "part of a promotion" and even then aren't accurate (i.e. this saw hasn't been out for three years).

The reviews that aren't from giveaways or promotions are not promising. I only want something like this to setup quickly to do quick rips. In the instructional video they are only working with what looks like yellow pine. My guess is this would stall out frequently and be more of a pain then it's worth. I'll wait for the next generation or if Ryobi starts doing 40V woodworking power tools

Good deals, but not tools that I would recommend buying cordless unless you have a specific need for them not to be corded. Decent corded versions of these tools should last a lifetime, if not longer. Even with Ryobi's track record for supporting this platform, eventually they'll probably stop and these will be worthless. These tools don't have the same value proposition as smaller tools like a drill/impact going cordless as you won't be moving them around as much.

Also that table saw fence looks just dreadful...

Not sure why you got a thumb down as it is a legit question, but no, they are not hybrid as the power supply required for the amount of amperage draw these need is pretty large and would increase the size of the tool substantially. The batteries can put out over 50a @18v which is quite a bit of energy and that would require a power supply in the 750watt range which is not practical.

only $100 off at my store, and no shipping options because of the batteries.. but, those 4.0 Ah are $120 each locally, so it's still a deal at $300.
