I saw it at my local New Orleans Home Depot. I want a table saw and would buy it but I know I'd use and abuse it in my gardener/handyman business and the reviews aren't great. But if you're a light DIYer who won't need ultra precision it'd work fine for you.

My local store has had 2 of these since they were first marked down. Walked past them on the top stock a few times and considered buying but I'd rather put the money toward a more powerful 120v saw that will be more useful.

Unlike many power tools, a table saw can cause very serious injury and is not for the casual DIY. I decided there are safer ways to cut wood.

I tried to do a brickseeker but if you look I wasn't 100% sure it's the same one. The power button is a different color but all the numbers match. I thought maybe this is an older model?

also why would someone downvote a brickseeker link?

Hand tools can cause serious injury. It's scarier to see a killer in a movie carrying a hammer than a knife. Lol.

I got this deal a few months ago. I have a contractor grade older Ridgid job site saw that is great when I need to cut thicker material or hundreds of cuts. I find myself grabbing this Ryobi for quick or small jobs since it's so light and I don't need a cord.

I'm probably not typical since I have a large workshop to store tools but I love having both.

A drill can break your wrist. All power tools are dangerous it's about learning how to safely use them, and taking precautions.

All power tools can hurt you, but a table saw can impale you or cut your fingers off more easily than other tools. I watch safety videos before using power tools and the table saw ones convinced me to return it. I am a DIY weekend person and a table saw seemed like one not very forgiving of mistakes and using it just occassionally seemed a lot of overhead and danger. Instead I use a mitre saw for crosscuts and a circular saw for rips. For long rips, I get it done at the store. I will note that at the store, they use radial arm saws and a vertical arm saw, not a table saw.

Yup. Look at some safety videos. Improperly used, the saw can throw the wood at you at high velocity.
