FYI they will come in some pretty crappy packaging, but I stopped caring about the packaging as soon as they were connected.
I use these during Ketamine treatments for ptsd where any outside noise can be really disturbing, so noise canceling is massively important, and these block out a ton. Not 100% (none do) but so much that it's a "wow" every time I'm in a noisy place (recently an airplane with a crying baby 1 seat ahead) and activate noise canceling.
Also, I used to use the Sony xm4 headphones, but had a problem where they stopped charging. Dealing with Allstate/Squaretrade was a piece of cake. They refunded every penny after two years of consyant use within a week of sending them in for repair.
In short, I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

So, did I get a dud or am I not setting these up correctly?
Since these have foam tips they are different than just about every other earbud I have used.
A tip with putting these in along with making sure you have the right tip, is to press the tips so the foam condenses, then put in your ears quickly so that the foam will go further into the canal.
I have a mechanical keyboard with brown switches and I can barely hear when I'm typing on it with my head maybe 18 inches away.
ANC is the best of the best I have tried. I have not tried Bose Quiet Comfort series but from reviews I read, that might be the only one better.
Next for ANC is Galaxy Buds Pro 2. These are a good middle of the road choice for very good ANC, and very good comfort.
Next for ANC is LG Tone Free T90. These are my most comfortable ear buds, but not great ANC. I would wear these all day long if I didn't care about the ANC.
That said, after wearing these for a good portion of the day, I'm definitely having ear strain. They are for the most part comfortable and are not coming out of my ears by falling out, but I have ear strain that I don't have with either the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 or the LG Tone Free T90 earbuds.
I just bought these which will arrive tomorrow to see if it helps with the ear strain.

Edited
I found some old silicone tips, and they fit. Sound was a bit unacceptable, so I cut up some earplugs to fill up the inner part of the ear tips, and it is good enough now.

On a side note, I have some older, corded, bose ANC earbuds. The "small" silicone ear inserts are amazingly comfortable and anc on/off is remarkably different. I was hoping these sony's were at least close but no chance. I'm going to watch for a deal on cordless bose ones as they seem to fit my ears better.
Thanks

The noise blocking is a combination of ANC plus the tip type if it is foam or silicone.
Unfortunately the corded Bose is discontinued and all the ones they sell on ebay are fakes.
That and the heaviness/uncomfortable fit in my right ear is making me wonder if i should return.

I'd like to try the Bose wireless ones and see how they compare. They have exchangeable "wings" to keep them stable and silicone tips. I'm not all that concerned about how much noise blocking they do relative to each other as any "quality" set will do it well enough to meet my needs which is just cut the background a bit while I'm on a conference call. For those of you that like the foam tips, more power to you. I suspect I might have an allergy to foam.

Even the case for Sony is so big that it is not practical to carry them everywhere - that is a deal breaker for me.
