I recently searched for Toyota WS fluid on Amazon, and only got Idemitsu and Toyota branded fluids. The "better" price was Idemitsu at nearly $50 for 5 quarts. I will probably only need 3 quarts, so this would have been a much better deal.
I don't feel that $50 every 5 years or 60K miles is super painful, but... Now I know.
EDIT: And thanks, OP!

I bought the 1 gallon back in June for $26
Bought today for same price at Walmart
Agreed. Toyota's WS isn't great and likely isn't full synthetic. Given commentary on bitog. MaxLife is probably the best bet. I put this in my 5th gen 4runner with 70k on the clock and the original "lifetime" OEM fill was nearly black. I'll do 40k to 50k going forward of this superior WS-spec fluid.
Now planning on using it to replace the black "lifetime" fluid in my used Rav4 with 153k miles.
Too bad the price jumped from $18 to $26 now.
