I'm really struggling to understand why $22 is considered a good deal for those lights.

I have two of these lights, they are not blindingly bright even on high power but enough light to see everything on the deck or at a camp sight without being visible from space. In a camp setting i think it provides just enough light. In a close setting under a car or right next to you it's enough light for almost all types of work.

They like me, so it shows 19.77 for me. (And I still don't want it.)

This is a decent light. I got it in the outdoor package, fan, light, Bluetooth speaker deal. The speaker and fan are garbage. Speaker is not loud, fan blew bearings in 2 days of light use.

Can't believe this made Frontpage! Did we lower our standards?

Do you ask this question in every deal involving any kind of light source? Not all light sources are made equal or are meant for the same purpose. What a weird comment.

Wow, this should absolutely not be on the front page.

Lol!!
BTW that was a genuine question!!! You took it to your heart bro.. Got to chill!!! No one is sitting ideal to post a dummy comment here..

Like they showed in one of the pic where they used it for lighting under the sink, I wanted to know how different it is from using the cellphone flash light...

Also someone else commented saying it ran for 4hrs with the low mode.. Even though our cellphone battery with flashlight might not run for 4 hrs, but would do the job!

Not a really outstanding 'deal', but these are good to have on hand for power outages, storm preparedness if you already have Ryobi batteries with your existing tools. The light itself lasts quite a long time on a single charge of a 4Ah battery, at least 24 hours on low setting which is adequately bright to navigate yourself around the house.

They didn't "take it to their heart", they assumed you were ragging on this light because it's obvious how it's different from a cell phone.
Why would we assume that's a real question?

Your cell phone is much smaller and more directed, will turn off the light after a relatively short period of time, is inconvenient to aim for most things unless you have a third hand, can't really be lent out to someone else for any length of time (since you need it as a phone), etc.

C'mon, let's not pretend you don't understand the difference between a cordless light and a cell phone.
Your phone is great in a pinch but there's a reason flashlights haven't gone away.

The $19.77 is most likely due to a military service discount. I get that discount on my acct. and I see the $19.77 price as well.

If you want a proper lantern, the PCL662 is the one to get. It's as bright as my propane lantern. But the lowest setting is still a bit bright, so I could see these smaller lights being useful when you want something dimmer.
