Given the price point… and that it's barely a $30 cost for the manufacturer to go from 8GB to 16GB, yeah, that's pretty stupid.

This is not a gaming laptop(its running a 9w cpu). But for general use, this is phenomenal. very bright (~450 nits) matte screen with 100% sRGB coverage. Plus this has macbook air level battery life. Wifi battery life of almost 15 hours. its super light and good enough performance for general producticity.

If this was 16GB I would pull the trigger, even for $50-$100 more. But the 8GB is a deal breaker as I plan to have for 4-5 years and I don't think 8GB will be sufficient.
