BS Link points to the non Wi-Fi 6 model. This was the one that is on sale for $60. The Wi-Fi 6 model (Target link in OP) is not on clearance. @OP did you get the Wi-Fi 6 mesh pack for $60?

The Target link points to the non Wi-Fi 6 model, at least for me. I didn't buy it but I attached a photo of the clearance price tag to the OP. You won't see that if you are using a mobile browser, such is the state of SD.

I got the non Wi-Fi 6 model for $60. It's an ok deal. Wi-Fi 6 for $60 would've been a real slickdeal though. Thanks for the deal posting

I'm still using a single 10 year old router in my house and it works great. If you have lot of gamers and streamers in your house, as well as close neighbors, then Wi-Fi 6 may make a difference, but for many of us the older tech works just fine, not that this deal is particularly old... it's 2019. laugh out loud

The only problem about older tech is my first-gen Eero will stop receiving guaranteed software security updates after September 30th, 2022. However, the older tech is good enough for me since my download speed is only 12.8 Mbps.

Not a problem with my Asus routers.

Solid bud I'd suggest instead getting a 3-pack of eero pro 2nd Gen on ebay or fb marketplace used. Should be under $100 and that's a tri band router compared to the link which is only dual band.

I tried EERO 6 and was so disappointed in the speeds that I went back to my EERO 1st gen. I heard the firmware on 1st gen uses a far superior network language which is why. But I do want the security update and wifi 6 etc. Is eero pro that good?

It's good, your top speed is like 450 mbps at close range which is plenty, but it's extremely stable and can handle all the devices you need. If you don't need the zigby/thread support and are budget conscious, eero pro 2nd Gen for $100 is a deal you can't beat.

I'm using the 6 pro (not 6e pro) at the moment, but my two years using the pro 2nd Gen I had literally zero issues the whole time on a 4000 sq ft house with thick walls.

Key when placing is 30 ft between nodes, but subtract 3-5 feet away for each wall you pass through.

Use wifi analyzer app on Android. Your goal before placing should be -60 or less from the previous node on 5ghz.

Also as an aside, I still have one eero pro 2nd Gen node I'm not using. If you or anyone wants it for say $25+shipping, happy to ship. Too lazy to ebay it or whatever. Just dm.

I don't really have experience gaming from a far away node. If your device is able to plug into a satellite node (hard wire) it'd take away a hop and likely help since the devices have very strong connections to each other.

But ya, no first hand experience using for wifi gaming, sorry. Best of luck.
