Great laptop, fast and power efficient 5825U, huge battery, touch screen, etc.

However, I'm not sure this is actually on sale though.

Although the price is shown as a sale on the eBay page, the Newegg page doesn't. Instead, the Newegg page just shows it as the normal price.

You can easily check it on Lenovo's website. Its MRSP is $969.99.

Hm, that's a good point. The lenovo website does show 969.99.

Also, not sure who downvoted both of us. So much for some healthy discussion.

I'll give this a thumbs up. I'm looking for over 300 nits as I use a laptop outdoors quite a bit and would trade touchscreen which I never use for another 100 nits. But this is a good deal I think for a lot of buyers

Thanks for this. I was going with a Lenovo Flex 5 openbox for same price but the Flex is last years model and only 250 nits and 5700u (8 core 8 threads). This one is 300 nits and 3825u (8 core 16 threads). The Flex has pen for drawing but I didn't care about that anyway. Cancelled the Flex and got this.

Shows $824 after discount on Lenovo website. Was thinking this would be a goo ddeal with AmEx $100 coupon, but that's only valid on lenovo.com, not if you buy through Lenovo ebay store. So it's $724 at Lenovo or $699 through eBay I guess. You can get another $40 off if you give Lenovo your email address on their website.

Also, says RAM is soldered, so you can't easily upgrade it. 16GB is pretty good for just about anything I do though.

There are two models listed on the Lenovo site. This one has a touchscreen, the Ryzen 5 version (20% slower on cpubenchmark and $100 cheaper) doesn't say it has touchscreen. That's a lot less laptop for $100 less.

Not quibbling with what you wrote, just adding what I see so far.

How long battery? Can you replace the battery with bigger battery?

This isn't a gaming laptop right?

What is difference between these ryzen 7 U series vs ryzen 7 H series?

Is soldered ram always bad unless it is 32gb ram? Almost all laptop seem to have soldered ram nowadays and many even 8gb?

How do you connect the charger to it? Does it have own port or it connect to one of the usb-c ports?

How many external monitors can you connect via 4k and 60hz on it?

It isn't a gaming laptop but... My kids play fortnite, minecraft, apex legends, etc on the slightly older 4700U processor version with lower settings and it still plays just fine at 30+fps. Some like fortnite gets more than 60fps if you tweak the settings a lot. You just have to sacrifice graphics settings to do so. To most gamers that is not playable but for others, that plays just fine. PS4 was 30fps for lots of games in the past and lots of people thought that was playable so it really just depends on what you consider playable. The upside is that the battery lasts longer than a gaming laptop in general.

Just google the processor and gaming and you will see examples of how it performs and then judge it for yourself.
