I have placed an order for, but no one else seems to be excited about it. Should I cancel order?
Great price. 3rd party sold/shipped from a "Just Launched" seller so hopefully it'll arrive.
Got one from Amazon a few years back. Beautiful grinder, looked perfect next to my other Breville appliances. Great unit, if you need an espresso grinder. 600 total step adjustments, I had it on the coarsest possible setting and it still wouldn't get coarse enough to even do a V60 pourover. Just clogged the filter. After many troubleshooting calls to Breville support, they finally admitted that it's designed for espresso.
So the slogan for this model "from the coarsest french press to the finest espresso" is crap. I called them on the false advertising and they bought the grinder from me.

It is an adequate grinder .... possibly the only grinder under $200 that can produce a passable espresso grind. But it doesn't have anywhere near 600 step adjustments. Not even 60.
The internal adjustment does not move the external adjustment to a whole new set of grind settings. In fact, it hardly moves it at all. Each number movement of the internal setting moves the setting for the side dial by less than 3 numbers.
Anyone else say delivered with no shipment arrival and then a random $20 credit back? Based on the storefront reviews seems to be a similar story across the board. Scam sale?

I was just quoting what Breville advertised, 60 external x 10 internal. If that's incorrect too, then it's par for the course. I really wanted the grinder to be useful for me since it looked so good on my counter.

3rd party sold/shipped from a "Just Launched" seller. I never expected that people would actually score it for this price. If a 3rd party is selling such an item so cheap, they only have one and are trying to off-load it.

This has just occurred to me - the shipment is still on the way and I have received a notice of $20 refund for the reason of "item not satisfactory". Not sure what to expect, but would Alex Mart just launch to fail?

So did you get every penny back of what you paid + a $20 credit from Amazon or what?
So yes, I'll briefly explain. There are tons of Chinese sellers that do this. I'm not saying that's what THIS guy is doing, but you'll see a "Just Launched" seller with a really long Chinese name out of Guangzhou or some other province. They list a ton of items at extremely low prices (with or without a coupon.) You buy. They mark the item as shipped w/ fake tracking info. Since it's shipped, Amazon pays them. They collect all the money and disappear. Amazon refunds the customer due to their A-to-Z guarantee. Seller starts a new "Just Launched" account and does it all again.
Make sense? That's the scam.

My order is shipped out of Jacksonville, Florida. It is still moving with usps. I'll update. If I do not receive the item in new condition, I'll talk to Amazon to get my money back.
