That's not illegal. Illegal is when they charge us $100 for something that's cost them $20 to make. Don't worry about it, corporation are making billions off of us already.
You are my kind of guy. Very uncommon in a sea of cool aid drinking Lego worshipers that reside here.
Lol crafty. Unfortunately, I ordered it for my niece and had my brother pick it up in another state. Not really an option. Just sucks is all.
That happened to me. What I did is I looked up to see if the Lego I bought was on the promo; it was. Then I looked on Amazon, and Amazon is price matching Target via a coupon that applies at checkout. I contacted Target for a price match since it was within their 14 days. Took only about 3 minutes on chat. Just price match via your order number, you don't need the item physically there.
Elf clubhouse is getting discontinued so anyone who's interested should pick one up
I second this! Last year my 6 year old daughter built this set herself with only a little help getting the roof to stay on. This girl is the first one to say, "I quit! This is too hard." She still looks at the set fondly since we keep it up year round for her.

Weirdly the set I bought is going for $250 on Amazon
How would I not be touching it if I'm returning it? Sorry, I'm not sure what you are saying here.
Let's say you bought your first set for your niece in Alaska, but you live in Florida. Buy the same set in Florida then use the first receipt to return that second purchase in Florida. Your niece will still have her set, your first purchase will be refunded, and you'll have the $10 giftcard from the second purchase.
Or just chat with Target customer service and ask them for a $10 gift card as a one-time courtesy since you bought something last week that would qualify for a promotion this week.

Ahhh.. Okay, I see what you're saying now. Makes sense.
Edit: Took your advice to contact chat and they refunded $10! I'll take it!

1. Buy new set cheaper.
2. Return new set with old receipt.
Doesn't matter where the other set is. You're not touching it.

Yes they will. I had them price match Amazon and still got the $10 GC.
