This is about the max size for no wheels if you are planning to fill this and then move it. If you really pack this with ice and drinks yes, it is going to be too heavy for an average adult to move, though 2 people can certainly do it. I've found that about half full is OK, obviously YMMV including based on what you are packing as plenty of protein fits at substantially less weight than beverages.

We use this size for holding bottled water on the patio when hosting friends, where it gets filled with ice and stays in place - by the time everyone leaves it's light enough to move. For the price+size it's hard to argue for stationary use or a backup cooler but your use case may call for prioritization of different factors.

This seems like the kind of size where you'd want to have wheels on it, no?

My coleman is a 55qt and all loaded up with ice, drinks, and food, I can carry it around, but not if I have to go far. So it is relative to how someone might use it. I wouldn't mind if mine had wheels...

Also, I was really hoping these "stacker" coolers with the larger but more flat rectangular coolers that can stack. Those would be great for resting smoked meats. These tall ones don't seem like a good idea to stack...

This would be good for when someone asks to borrow a cooler LMAO But seriously, cheap coolers aren't cheap when you consider that ice is expensive and your time is valuable. If you take one of these camping you will have to drive to town to buy ice halfway through the trip. And still probably have to throw away any leftover food at the end. Don't need a rotomolded cooler or anything. In fact, I think the 70qt coleman extreme is better since on the outside it is the same size as a 50 qt rotomolded cooler but the inside is way bigger and it keeps ice pretty much just as long. Get a 70qt Coleman extreme.

Many reviewers complained that drain plug is advertised but isn't there. Product listing describes and shows a drain plug.

I ordered the 60Qt on wheels ($27.88) and the 5Qt portable ($10.88) a couple of days ago but neither has shipped yet. I thought about getting the 48Qt but realized that with no wheels and full of ice and drinks, I don't think my back could handle all that. Nice if you plan to keep it stationary but I paid the extra $10 for the wheels and larger size.

Shame it's out of stock. I have two Yetis but I've been considering a cheap cooler like this for when we have parties and need cooler overflow at the house. Hopefully it comes back in stock. 🤞🏻
