It took about 25 minutes to walk her through everything (I think she was based in India, too, so there was a bit of a language barrier), but I was able to price match the $159 Staples SE 44mm (2020, 1st gen) price to Target's 2nd Gen SE (2022). I did this by giving her the TCIN number (85973672) for that specific watch. The lady just said "Oh, apple watch SE, I see it. Yes, we'll price match it. She didn't look up to see what generation, just accepted it as being one item with no generations.
Edit: Final price: $171 and change, shipped.
