The regular ratchet driver bits are the first milwaukee product I've been disappointed in. The flathead bit twisted on a pretty regular screw, not really all that tight either. A regular cheapo flathead screwdriver handled the job easily.

also swapping bits out of the handle sometimes requires a separate tool to pry it up.

I agree. The bits are frustrating to try and pry out. They should have just included shorter bits and stored them all in a loose compartment in the handle.

Prefer my Williams (aka Snap-on) Ratchet screwdriver to these.

A screwdriver with just 9 different torx sizes LOL??? j have the stubby and ratcheting one, along in with the 9 in 1 electrical version, which are all decent, but a torx only is useful for a very small amount of people so I'll pass. Genuinely curious as to who is hand tightening a wide array of torx on a daily basis?

Why would you try to pry it out? The instructions and common sense literally point you to push it from the top, then pull it out from the bottom.

Pushing the bit out takes a good amount of force and there isn't much space for leverage (when pushing on the end). You can use your fingernail or fingertip but that's a pretty poor design.

I've been keeping one bit out to use to push out the next bit I need.

Echoing other people, the chrome plating isn't the most durable either and is already cracking on some of my bits. For household use though, this is sufficient.

You read the instructions for a screwdriver?

I've had the stubby and normal size ones for around five years for household use, and they have held up great so far. No bending or snapping of any of the bits during typical usage, ratcheting feels good. This screwdriver did quite well overall in Project Farm's recent screwdriver video.

As for swapping out bits, by design there will always be one bit in the top of the screwdriver to be used. You just pull it off and use it to leverage out the next bit you want to use and put that one in its place.

It was mildly annoying at first, now I'm used to it. I like that the bits are long and firmly locked in place because years later I still have all the bits for the normal and stubby.

I purchased a $30 mega pro ratcheting screwdriver with bit storage in the handle after watching the project farm review.

I love it. The only 2 negatives are 1 ) It's not magnetic and 2) the ratchet selector is opposite the direct you turn.

The deal last year for the pair of ratcheting screwdrivers was super popular. This is basically the same deal with the torx set added for $10. I'd prefer if the torx bits were secure torx, but it still seems like a good deal.
