Team Group has a questionable failure rate and terrible warranty that involves mailing it to Taiwan at you expense….gamble. Great price.

Exactly this. I used to disregard this and buy teamgroup until I finally had an issue (around a month after purchase) and it required mailing to Taiwan at cost. Won't be buying their products again.

Totally fair…most people won't have an issue…but if you do…whoa boy…not great. I refuse to save $10 and effectively have zero warranty…but to each their own. It might be fine.

just a virtue signaling baby who came to complain. dont worry this is a good barebones SSD and the price reflects that
It's definitely much cheaper then any good companies products. I wouldn't say that guy was a baby. team group is nothing great, I would compare their ssd's to fatty dove and Hindi no name products. If you have more money then sense then this is the deal for you and Some people like pain and hardship.

A lot of places make you pay shipping for an RMA. IDK about sending out of the country.
It costs about as much as the drive. Why not but Samsung or crucial?

You know that for a fact? Links to any current $99 2TB SSDs by Sammy or Crucial.

Just IMO,

Only ever buy a quality drive, especially if used for anything remotely important. If you're THAT strapped for cash then at least have a cloud backup setup.

Recovering data, even when possible is a huge PITA. A few years ago my relatively new SSD crapped out and I lost tons of documents I had to remake from scratch. My cloud backup coincidentally had a sync issue I was unaware of. Talking about dozens of hours all in all redoing things. Not worth saving a few bucks...

If you have sensitive data, I just have an offline backup (8TB USB drives) that I do weekly automated backups too. For these cheap 2TB SSD's, I used them mainly for my Steam and Game library.

Since I was curious, and both are up on this page now: CX2 has wear-leveling & ECC... AX2 has both those, plus SMART & Trim features
Is AX2 a typo?
