Good deal. I bought a few pairs last summer and they had a very heavy rubber smell. Had to take them to my parents place where I could leave them in the backyard because they kept releasing a heavy rubber smell in my apartment.

Mine did too at first. VOCs release quicker in the sun, so I let them sit out for an afternoon, and the smell was much less noticeable.

I started a couple months ago with 15 pounds. My teen son also uses 15 pretty frequently. I have a trainer now, but I still use 15 frequently for arms and different types of squats.

That said, you might prefer an adjustable dumbbell set. They're far more versatile for around $50.
