FYI, there's some other BS fee attached that ends up making the total $120ish. That said we did this last go around, I don't regret it.

i got in on this deal on the 2nd try/call. the first rep imemdiately gave me the ring around so i didnt bother to waste anymore time and said bye. called the second time and the second rep was able to apply the $99 promo for my 2019 car.

I just got this deal today. I had the Music and Entertainment package for our 2016 Lexus. I was paying $5.99 per month plus taxes and fees and our plan went until March, 2023. I called last week and asked the rep for the $99 plan for 3 years. She told me that our 2016 car didn't qualify as it was for 2015 and older years. I asked if she could make an exception for one model year. She said no, but that she would escalate my request and that someone would call me in 1 to 3 days. Well, someone did call today and they gave me the deal right away, with no input from me. I got a credit for the remaining time for this month towards the $120+ total including taxes and fees. A screaming good deal!

Just called in and got the deal with zero push back when asked. Either you all paved the way or I got lucky with the rep. I should add that I have a 2016 car and call every year to get a yearly discount.

No push-back (as others have mentioned)....but did ask where I found the deal (I told them from an email I received).

It took about a couple days and a cancellation but I was able to get the deal for a 2020 car.
Worked on the chat once I mentioned the email and promo code.

I've chatted and called multiple times and get shut down each time saying it's for a specific car. Any other hints? Is there actually a promo code?

I found the code somewhere within the pages of this thread. I told them I got an email with the code 3for99.

I'm sure it's agent dependent. I tried first thing when the customer service center opened rather than at night when I continuously tried and got shot down.

I had to call the 1800 number. the rep
said it was for cars 7 years old and i didnt qualify. i told her i would her i would t be able to afford
the service when my plan was up in a few months and would need to cancel. i asked to speak with a supervisor and told her i would t be able to afford it when my plan was due in a few months and i wanted to lock in this rate. she put me on hold and authorized it. i actually had 4 months of credit and she gave me back so i ended up paying 95$ with my credit she gave me back. i logged into my account after the call and confirmed the 99/3yr rate was in place. may take a bit of sugar and elbow grease but I got it.

Question:

I have a 2009 Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Matrix) and my wife has a 2015 Honda Pilot. Both have not had XM since February of this year. The 2009 gives me the three year deal, but the 2015 gives me the standard 12 months for $5. The 2009 is my own account and the 2015 is my wife's account and both have the same address on file. So we have two separate accounts. Am I able to accept the three years for my 2009 Pontiac Vibe and then transfer this to wife's account under my current setup? If not, do I need to add the 2015 to my account so I can do a transfer of the 3 years from my 2009 Vibe to 2015 Pilot car? I just don't want to do three years for my 2009 Vibe when I may not own it in 3 years.

I just followed the link. It only offered me $5/month for platinum for 12 months. I have a 2018 car and have been canceled for over a year.

I went into chat and typed:

"Can you apply a better deal than the website? I followed link for 3 yr $99 deal without auto renew, but site only shows $5/mo."

Agent took 10 or 15 minutes on hold and then made it happen in the chat.

Total just over $120 with fees. Confirmed no renewal. Responses were slow. Whole process took 1/2 hour or more, but mostly just waiting, no arguing. Took a little longer for me to clarify no auto renewal or monthly after, and to vainly attempt to get the $20 in fees removed. I knew it wasn't going anywhere though since this agent presumably was working with another remote agent to do the deal. Seems like she called or otherwise contacted the folks who others have gotten when calling.

Anyway, I greatly prefer holding for chat agent compared to call/phone tree.

"I know it's taking time because it is not with us and I am applying the deal form other agent.

Hmm, I spoke too soon. While finalizing the terms, apparently the agent got the fees waived. Because I did not have a refund balance on my account. Proves it doesn't hurt to ask:

I'm on chat now renewing a Platinum plan (need Howard) that expires tomorrow. Agent made three offers before finally renewing me at my current promotional rate of $4.99/mo. So...hang in there and hopefully they'll come around.

Yeah, kinda ridiculous in 2022 on SD that this has to be stated for any recurring payment.

Just got exact same deal on Platinum I've got for a couple years--using chat, $8.99/mo on two vehicles. Virtual card used. Easy.

Keep hearing deals are going away on DirecTV and SiriusXM but I just keep getting them (knock on wood).

Got it today for our 2012 Traverse that currently had service. Did it all through chat and took about 15 minutes.

Will be nice not having to do anything for 3 years and it won't auto renew.
