Damn, there's a lot of hate for meat-alternative products in this thread. Yeah, it's more expensive, and doesn't taste exactly like meat. Generally, I do like eating real beef and chicken, but sometimes, I just want something with less cholesterol and less environmental impact than beef. Might not be the healthiest, especially on the sodium side, but it's still better than its meat counterpart. That's why I don't mind eating it once in a while.

The Harvard Health Blog agrees that a diet that consists mostly of ultraprocessed foods is worse for you than one consisting mostly of minimally processed foods. There is no specific mention of Beyond or Impossible in your appeal to authority.

Most American diets consists of at least some ultraprocessed foods. If you said yours didn't I'd call you a liar. It would be news to me that people thought they were much, if at all healthier...also why do you care?

That's not true. GMO soy is made into animal feed, the animals you eat, your meat, eat GMO soy. The soy that people eat is non-GMO, it's not grown in the same location as animal feed.

I don't know which is more disturbing the amount of unnecessary dislike of a simple non-meat menu alternative (despite never having tried it) or the fact that this thread shows many people actually eat Panda Wok and how they consider it even remotely anything close to actual chinese food.

Panda Wok is like 'BEYOND CHINESE FOOD' vs real chinese cuisine.

I just ate 2 bowls. Beyond chicken is strangest meat ever. It looks like chicken nugget but tastes like tofu. No one would like it. Beyond burger is not bad.

2 bowls portion equals to one plate. Why would anyone pay $8.2 for a bowl? It's "beyond" comprehension.

Every once in a while I too like feeling feminine and having the feeling of processed food more unnatural than meat alone go down my throat.

Beyond chicken is beyond gross. I've eaten many dishes with tofu which tasted better. Only a deal for vegetarian or vegans who are used to eating weird tasting fake "meats". The plant based product is heavily processed and that removes most of the plant nutrients. Think chicken nugget pink slime but with plants.
