I'm not sure specifically but i'll bet the Rolling Stones can help!
Probably not going to be very helpful for that, 20fps and a middle of the road focal length of f4.0mm means the car would have to be close and slow to catch a plate. Most cameras that would be any good at reading the plate would also need to be teamed with a second wider camera to have any idea how fast the car was actually traveling unless you have an unusually (at least in my area) good vantage point looking "down" the road one way or the other compared to most houses that are set back a good bit from the road.
Would love to use this camera to read the license plates of speeding cars that run stop signs on my street.

How is the night vision capability on these compared to the Wyze Cam V3? Anyone know? I am continually amazed by my Wyze Cam's low-light performance. When I'm looking out the kitchen window in the morning, I almost can't see my yard, but when I look at the live stream from the V3, it looks like 3/4 daylight with color. The problem with wyze is they are limited to 1080p.. Would love direct feedback from anyone with experience using these cams.

day time 820A (4k) way better than Wyze cam v3, night time (without supplementary lighting) Wyze cam v3 is better because of starlight sensor

Painters tape and plasti-dip worked for us. At least until I slammed the window against it 15 times forgetting it what there. Doesn't' work as well now. Husband says I'm rough on things…. He shouldn't have mounted it there, but he likes to test before deploying.
not available in black
any idea how to remove the cam piece from the "shell" so that i can paint them black?
Disassembly into its three main components is extremely easy. Removing the bottom plastic base (clips, not screws) allows the separation of the base, frame, and spherical camera unit (with wire).
Then mask the lens and it should be okay to paint.

you going to be spending wayyyyy more money than this on a camera to read plates of vehicles running stop signs
Agreed, Reolinks are really only good for casual use. I deeply regret buying Reolink when I first got into home security, only buy Dahua now. Buy nice or buy twice.

This camera is only good if someone is standing 10 ft away from it, or to monitor if there is something moving on your property.
These are the least useful type of cam, which makes me wonder why they are the most popular?
