I got the blue R2 lava lamp a few weeks ago from the same site, works pretty well.. thinking of maybe adding this one to the collection now..

One thing worth noting: I couldn't get the free shipping to work on their mobile app, had to stick with the web browser, but it got the job done. They even accept Apple Pay to make checkout simple.

Yes, it's going to be hot like an old light bulb. Lava lamps work by using a hot lamp to melt the wax (lava) in the liquid, then the wax rises due to temperature difference.
