The good news: even though this company doesn't manage to comply completely with labeling guidelines[ul.com] (the listing number is apparently included in a paper receipt in the package and not on the device itself), there is a listing ETL maintains for this product under UL-498A[intertekconnect.com] (current taps). However, that leaves the surge protection claim unsupported by any appropriate (UL-1449) listing.

The bad news: everything else. The ETL listing above covers devices from the brand family Aduro which makes a habit of building products which are so cheaply designed they flip the neutral and hot wires on their outlets [woot.com] (saving a few cents on copper, but creating a reverse polarity hazard).
Perhaps someone could register a complaint with the local consumer advocate?
Good luck!
Jon
