Anyone think prices will keep going down through the end of the year or are we hitting the bottom now as supply is probably peaking? Asking seriously, I know it's fun to think prices will go down to $0 but there is a real bottom for (new) 3000 prices

I am still waiting for it to go down. RX7000 is being announced in Oct; RTX4Ks are being released soon; Intel arc is getting more common; crypto winter is here. As more cards get manufactured, I don't see how can the prices be sustained.

I think a used card is the way to go with the 3080 (12gb model) in the $500ish price range (as Nvidia appears to be abandoning the affordability crowd). I think the 3080 is the rightful successor to the 1080ti when it comes to GOAT of price vs performance cards. The 4070 will easily be double the price and probably not all that much faster. Everyone should be calling that 12GB 4080 model for what it really is. There's also AMD.

Arc is a piece of crap, the best one wont come close to a 3060 Ti and thats IF they ever get the drivers sorted.

Where did you get your information from?

It's still speculation at this point and will have to see real world benchmarks, but this article to indicates Intel Arc A770 will be be priced similar to RTX 3060. It might be worth it to wait 2 weeks and find out its performance level. Either way, more competitions will benefit the consumers.
