I just got this phone, to Unlock
1. Settings
2. About phone
3. Network lock
4. Permanent unlock

You have to connect to the Wifi, it connects to T-mobile for unlocking, the screen showed unlock approved, then I was able to use my Repocket sim.

Are you able to get 5G?
I am with Verizon, I can only get 4G LTE. And there is no 5G option under "preferred network option" for me.

I just got the phone, but can't unlock it even after updating to android 12. It shows activating when clicking the try permanent unlock, then the unlock process crashes. Anyone has the same problem? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Just talked to 1+ CS, the same situation here.

Here is what I was told to do:

1. Go to https://www.oneplus.com/trade-in-...dress/edit

2. Submit your trade in order by generating a shipping label or waiting for trade in kit.

3. Mail your trade-in phone to Oneplus (you have 21 days), and they will issue you a voucher.

4. Contact the CS again with the voucher and ask them to convert it to cashback and refund it back to your bank.

One thing is my 7 Pro used to have $190 trade in value before 9/30, and now it is $180 ($80 + $100 bonus). Not a big deal, but I brought it up to CS, and she told me to have the voucher ready and see if they can do anything about that.

I will see how this goes.

PS: I placed my order in Oneplus store app, and my order summary does not reflect any trade-in info. But I saw someone posted here about they will refund you after you mailed in your trade-in, so I let it go...

I would like to inform you that if you want to unlock you have to use the T-Mobile at least 45 day once it complete please revert us back we will give you the bootloader unlock link using the link you can unlock the T-Mobile.

So after placing my order on Sept 22nd, I received my device on 26th. I submitted my trade-in. All went well. Never received the kit but received an email with the shipping label. Trade in my Oneplus 7T for $80 + $200 bonus. The trade-in partner received the phone on time and has inspected and agreed on the value. I never received any communication from the trade in partner (Phobio) or Oneplus regarding the status updates. Anyways, the trade-in dashboard at Phobio says it's still at device inspected stage and next step is payment. The $80 was instant credit, but the $200 bonus was supposed to be cashback after the device is traded in and return period for the new phone is over (which was OCT 10th). I haven't received any quotes or emails from OP or Phobio yet and the trade in page at Oneplus says Trade-In complete. What's concerning is that it says "Original Bonus: $200", Actual Bonus: 0. I chatted with OP CS and they keep asking for screenshots of the original quote. As if people take screenshots every step of the way while placing an order. And pointing them to the OP website order page that clearly states original bonus was $200 does not seem to get through to them. Anyone have any trade in-experience with them? How long does it take to get the cash back? Is it normal to say actual cashback 0 until they actually pay? Or are they not paying that promised bonus? In which case, any recommendations?

Actually, no reply from the customer service yet, but I did get a $200 refund on the card I used from OP. So not sure if CS agents issued it after I had contacted them and just hasn't replied or if this is standard timing, but I did get the promised cashback.
