I have looked at the manual and called Acer, they have confirmed that the USB-C port does NOT support Power Delivery to charge the laptop. https://global-download.acer.com/...&SC=EMEA_9
I bought this computer for my dad a few weeks ago. It's awful. The keyboard is a lighter grey than what appears in the photos. The text is white, so unless the lighting is perfect the keys are unreadable. You can see it in the top-down photo on the site. It performed well, but you'll spend all day trying to find an angle to see the keys.

I fail to understand that. This is a dark gray keyboard which is backlit. How can you possibly not be able to see the keys, buddy?
Edit: just realized it was for your dad. Maybe his age was a factor? Hope you find a better laptop for him.

It is not dark grey. The issue is more in a well lit room where backlighting isn't being used. I noticed the issue while setting it up for him. There's not enough contrast between the key color and the white text. Maybe it's just me 🤷🏽
Mediocre screen quality in a 16:9 aspect ratio. Low RAM, small SSD, middle-tier processor. This is exactly the kind of computer that's gonna be less than $500 on Black Friday. Strongly advise against this price.

Most people these days have the keyboard memorized. One only look at it for obscure punctuation.

I get the frustration. I have a silver laptop with shiny silver keys with white lettering. Never again.
USB Type-C port: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps), DisplayPort over USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, USB charging 5 V; 3 A, DC-in port 20 V; 65 W.
That's just 15W on USB-C
You misunderstood 5Vx3A. That's standard OUTPUT of USB-C port.
For USB-C power delivery, USB-C port becomes INPUT of power. By USB-C standard, it should support up to 100w (20Vx5A), which is more than the included 65w charger. Maybe the laptop won't be able to utilize the full 100w but I think it should at least take 65w.
