Levi's ain't the same quality because they outsourced outside of America and to cheap labor countries. Because they went public, they are strictly profit-oriented so the material they use is likely of cheaper dye and fabric blend.

It's not bad jeans but definitely not the same quality I remember they used to have.

If you want high quality jeans, look at Japanese denim. Otherwise, don't expect much from these lower tier brands. They will all be about the same in quality.

My biggest problem ordering from Levi's is the descriptions are unreliable. Ordered pants that were supposedly 100% cotton that ended up being 60% polyester.

I haven't bought Levi's in years, but I recall the last time they seemed to be really thin denim. Anyone know which Levi model has heavy weight denim? I'd like to get some for outdoor activities and don't want them to rip out after a few wears.

Thanks

The only time I've gotten thin denim was from an Amazon order. Anything I've gotten direct from Levi's hasn't been that way.

Whatever happened to their work jeans? Can't seem to find any women's jeans that will last more than a month.

Costco's Kirkland brand is a pretty heavy denim, if you are looking locally. Not sure where they are sourced from...

It appears the prices (at least some of them) are the same at Amazon. So, might check there for your particular fit and size, especially if you have Prime and can use their "try before you buy" feature.

Did a little digging and it appears Levi's denim weight is generally between 10 oz to 12.5oz per square meter of cloth which is considered light weight. Lee jeans are generally 12.5 to 14.5 oz which is considered mid- weight. I bought 7 pairs of Lees straight-leg jeans which I believe were 14.5 oz back in 2015 from Amazon and the cuffs are pretty worn out, and a belt loop on a few pairs detached on one end, but the rest of the jeans are still solid after constant wear since 2015 and now I wear them to beat around in. On the Lee site last night, they were $29 for straight leg in the 14.5 oz after coupon code extra25 with free shipping at $75. Guess I'll give the Lees another go. And maybe I'll cut a inch off the cuffs off my old pairs (seem to have an inch too much length anyway) and get my wife to teach me how to use her sewing machine and refurb them by hemming them up😆

They raised prices 200% so they could have a 30% off sale. Nobody in history has paid $70 for a pair of regular Levis jeans. $40 is not a deal. $20-$25 is a typical sale price for jeans.

This so-called sale is unworthy of wasting everyone's time by being on the FP.
