You think this game drops below 39.99 on BF? I'm considering just jumping on this deal because I feel like games like this never go below 39.99.
This was covered by Polygon's Why Nintendo Games Almost Never Go on Sale[youtube.com]. In short, it's brand pedigree / loyalty, perceived quality, the timeless-ness of Nintendo titles, and exclusivity. In short, it's because they can. Which sucks, but its ultimately true.

It still seems like a better deal to buy the digital copy of the game bundled with all the dlc together if your buying everything. Or am I missing something?
Decided to order. If anything this is probably the same price as Black Friday. Would rather play it and enjoy for the next 2 months over saving maybe $10.

Worth waiting since BF is just around the corner. I have nothing to lose.
You're probably right. It's worth waiting given it'll almost certainly be at least $39. My order shipped which is nice but the game isn't even for me. I'm just starting Christmas shopping (not even going to play this game) so I really should've waited for BF just in case. Not like the game will be out of stock suddenly.

Smash Ultimate has never dropped below $39.99, physical or digital. Maybe this'll be its first year below that price point but I'm not betting on it.
