Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Examiner44

The usual Eyedictive warnings:
- Eyedictive is NOT an authorized reseller
- No manufacturer warranty since they are not an authorized reseller
- The only contact info available for them is a PO Box
- If you check the other Eyedictive threads, you will find multiple people stating they received fake products

I'll get off my soapbox now and make room for all the Eyedictive shills... I mean "customers" to come in and say how wonderful Eyedictive is.

This always comes up, and I'm always curious how people are so certain they received fakes. I'm by no means an expert (and I suspect that applies to the vast majority of people on both sides of this discussion), but I've ordered a few pairs and kept most of them. If they were fake, then they must have been very good fakes. The one pair I didn't keep was because I just didn't like them. Their return process is admittedly annoying, in that you first have to request a return and wait for an approval email, and then go to the post office to ship it, but I was refunded my money in a reasonable amount of time.

Not being an authorized reseller does not mean fake. There are gray markets for many products. For instance, Canon lenses can be bought through non-authorized resellers for a lower price than authorized. I'd never go that route for a lens of any significant value because it's not worth the risk, but for sunglasses under 100 bucks? Sure.

I'm not saying Eyedictive is wonderful; their return process is annoying enough for me not to order again unless I'm fairly certain I'll like the glasses, but you don't have to be a shill to disagree with you.

I would not order from them again. I got the recent deal Timberlands and they felt extremely cheap and didn't fit well. While return was hassle free, but you have to pay for return shipping which was $6 for first class mail. I paid $24 for them and cost me $6 to send back. Not worth it for me.

Im sure people have received both genuine and fakes from them. To me it's unlikely they are completely "above board" because:
Why can't they sell as an authorized reseller?
Why do they only sell cheap closeouts?
Why is there no address for them?
Why is there no phone number for them?

But mostly I think a lot of people here really dislike their marketing practices. They have been spamming every one of their threads with shills for years. I mean if you look at some of the older threads it's an absolute joke with 1/2 the comments saying "I bought dozens from them and they were all authentic." Mysteriously, all most all these comments are from (10) rep "members" making their first comment ever lol.
