that two piece design seems pretty questionable...
i'm sure it's fine, TVs are much weigh much less than they used to, but a wall mount is something i don't skimp on anymore. i bought a cheap <15$ for a 42'' Plasma years ago, always used to droop, annoyed the hell out of me. frame would flex, Plasma's were heavy Wink, but never fell. i got an 85'' Sony from the Costco deal a few years ago, bought a Echogear articulating mount and couldn't be happier. the build quality is fantastic.

Shows $31.99.... if it doesn't show the discount in the Amazon app.... Not chasing it in web browsers.

I have 2 of these, one holding a 55 and another holding a 65 with absolutely no problems, cheap and effective. Just purchased another.

If I was going to buy an articulating mount I would agree with you. However, for a standard tilt mount this design works perfectly and I cannot think of a single reason to spend more on a name brand / "fancy" product. This is one of those cases where you can definitely save a lot of money for a product that does exactly what it is supposed to do with zero problems.

My complaint about the two piece design is that one side may not be level with the other side when you put it together. Make sure you check it before mounting.

Just be aware that your studs better be close to center where you want your TV. There is little horizontal adjustment. I got the Pipishell brand one, non-tilting for 85" and it's been solid. Allowed for more adjustment side to side.

I have 2 of these, they do the job but just beware they can be flimsy. I have elevated outlets so no cable show. Last night I made the mistake after mounting 75" on wall rail, I tried to slide the TV over to center it better with the wall and one of the hooks hit the outlet faceplate and bent the TV side mount. It's not broken completely off but the effort to remove and straighten it back, just isn't worth it right now. The mount also can easily support a sound bar and mount attached to the two lower mounting screws.
