Seems like a solid deal, does anyone have any good/bad or bad experiences with Samsung Washer/dryers?

All these modern appliances aren't as reliable as what used to be. They will probably need some service. I had to replace a few parts on my parents' washer a few years ago. Knock on my wood, my Samsung steam washer and dryer have been fine for the last 4 years. If you don't need steam this is a amazing deal.

Agree 💯 we bought a pair of Sammy units with extended warranty from Lowe's. Washer door was locked and won't open after 14 months of minimum use. Called Sammy service and was told they are out of warranty but I complained about reliability of high end steam unit of just 14 months. So they agreed to send the tech and covered all cost ($370ish). I could've used my lowes services that I paid for but I wanted Sammy to stand behind their products. Since then it's been working like a champ for a total of 11 years.

So, I agree, reliability has gone down significantly and I would definitely recommend buying extended warranty especially since it would cover both units. I always think of it as a cost for me to have peace of mind not worry for atleast first few years.

Don't buy Samsung!!
Not many option as most other brands are in back order during pandemic so we purchase 2 sets of Samsung front load W/D (different model). One set spin make loud noise within 1 year so we have to call for service. Second set, different model, the same issue but happen after 1.5 years so no warranty. Because service guy said repair it will cost more than purchase a new washer so we just give it up. Last Maytag W/D set last 10+ years and both Samsung sets have severe issues within 2 years.
No more Samsung even it always give the biggest discount.

Samsung is not a reliable manufacturer for any durable good anymore. Their washers/dryers/fridges are all poorly designed and do not last long. Plenty of examples of product failures and recalls for their trash equipment with poor service availability. There are actually a lot of local repair companies that will no longer service their refrigerators due to the total mess associated with their ice maker leaking/ breaking issues. Temp control has also been an issue.

I personally have had a recalled washer and my fridge failed and had to be repaired twice. I will never buy another one of their units. I used to swear by their TV's but I believe all TV's are pretty much just above disposable these days.

Thanks for the advice. They also had a promotion for 50% all warranties so I was able to get a 5 year extended warranty on the washer and dryer for $169 out the door.
