To clarify, the $400 strike-through price is what the current price for new headphones is. Not what refurbished ones are typically worth. I fail to see how less then 50% off regular price on open box or refurbished items with such high markup as headphones is a great deal. Seems what I would expect a regular open box price on this type of thing to be discounted to

I have the xm2 and they are outstanding. I'm sure the 3, 4, and 5 are even better...but I don't see a need to upgrade. I think you can get the xm4 for a lot less than this and you won't be missing out on much

If you don't use it for conference calls, both are similar. But if you do, XM4 has better integrated microphone. I used to use bose 700 to talk in the conference and no one could hear me.

I had my 1000X since 2017. It still works fine but I wanted to get a new pair. Ideally, I wanted AirPods Max with a 3.5 mm port (non-existent).

i think bose 700 have much better mics, i use them all the time and never had anyone complain, in fact it was primary reason i got 700 over xm4. I also got Bose USB receiver that's teams certified, so that works like a charm for teams shortcuts.

edit. to support my findings rtings has 700 as the highest rated nc headphones for mic performance at 7.9, xm4 rated at 6.7, xm5 at 7.5 https://www.rtings.com/headphones...cancelling

Is the lowest so far to all the folks who placed an offer? I'm wondering if they will accept anything lower than that, although I'm a bit scared they might give me a really scuffed unit.
